The Lagoon Attitude Hotel in Anse La Raie won us over with its location right on the sea and its relaxed atmosphere. Comfortable rooms, a beautiful property and plenty of activities like kayaking, stand-up paddling and snorkeling made the stay perfect. Friendly staff and delicious food rounded off the experience, a place to feel good and unwind.

The Golden Beach Resort on Koh Rong won us over with its location right on the island's most beautiful stretch of beach, with its white, pristine sand, crystal-clear water and a feeling of having truly arrived in paradise.
Especially impressive was the balance between luxurious amenities (pool, bungalow and restaurant) and a relaxed island atmosphere. Simply perfect for swimming in the sea in peace in the morning, taking a glass kayak out at midday, or ending the day with a movie night hosted by the hotel.
Our absolute favorite stay, everything about it was just right.
The Secret Garden on Koh Rong was a real retreat for us, with a quiet, intimate location on the beautiful Pagoda Beach, minimalist, Scandinavian-inspired bungalows and a service that made us feel truly welcome.
For us personally, though, the Golden Beach Resort was just a touch more dreamy.

Trogon's Perch won us over instantly with its clean, modern design. With just eight oceanfront rooms, the resort feels calm, charming and made for a real break from everyday life. The infinity pool overlooking the sea is a real highlight, and the hosts are incredibly warm. For us, the arrival alone, and every single morning after it, was a genuine wow moment.
In Thailand we discovered three very special stays: a hidden gem in the mountains of Krabi, pure luxury in Phuket just steps from the beach, and a dreamy pool villa on the idyllic island of Koh Kood.
We were instantly enchanted: nestled between lush greenery and impressive mountains, Anana offers an oasis of calm with modern eco-chic style. The infinity pool, surrounded by tropical vegetation, was something very special. There was also a free shuttle to and from the beach, which was great for us.

What stuck with us most was the breathtaking rooftop infinity pool overlooking Patong, the comfortable, spacious rooms and the lively atmosphere, without us ever having to give up peace and quiet. Besides fantastic bars like "Butcher's Garden" and "The Cloud," it was above all the warm service that won us over.
In Vietnam we found two stays that have stuck with us in particular: a dreamy resort right on the beach of Phu Quoc and a charming hideaway in the mountains of Sa Pa, surrounded by rice fields and breathtaking nature.

For us, this retreat felt like a small village in the greenery, quiet, stylish and simply magical.
Finland surprised us with two stays in Rovaniemi that couldn't be more different from each other, yet each won us over completely in its own way.
The Nova Skyland sits right in the middle of Santa Claus Village on the Arctic Circle and is exactly the right place for anyone who wants to soak up Lapland to the fullest. Every room has its own sauna and windows so large you can simply lie in bed at night and stare up at the sky. We got lucky and saw the northern lights without even having to push back the blanket. Breakfast was hearty, and dinner honestly impressed us even more than we expected. A beautiful starting point for anyone experiencing Lapland for the first time.
If you really want to arrive, to truly step away from everyday life, this is exactly the place for you. The resort sits away from the city, deep in the forest by the river, with no light pollution and no distractions. You sleep in small glass cabins with a panoramic view of the night sky and your own wooden sauna right next door. Dinner is prepared over an open fire right in front of you, using ingredients from the region. It's adults only, which gives the whole atmosphere an even deeper sense of calm. For us, this was one of those places you're still talking about years later.
In Greece, on the island of Santorini to be precise, we found two stays that impressed us in particular: a charming hideaway in the heart of the island and a dreamy accommodation right on the cliffs of Oia with a view over the caldera.
This mysterious boutique retreat in Oia won us over instantly with its authentic cave architecture, minimalist interiors and private jacuzzis overlooking the caldera. The spectacular sunset from our own terrace turned every evening into an unforgettable moment. That said, the interior is showing its age a little.

In Italy we got to experience several very special stays: a charming trulli house in Alberobello that felt like stepping into another era, plus two dreamy addresses in Sardinia.
A magical retreat in the famous trulli houses: Il Gabellota enchants with romantic flair, charming interiors and a warm, personal atmosphere. Here we experienced cozy evenings, a truly special place to stay.
A truly warm-hearted place to stay: La Vinia Experience impressed us with its family hospitality, stylish furnishings and great attention to detail. Set on a picturesque vineyard in western Sardinia, it's just a few minutes from beautiful beaches, close to the charming old town of Alghero and not far from the famous La Pelosa Beach, which for us is one of the island's most beautiful. Here we felt instantly at home, like being with friends, with a glass of wine and Sardinian warmth in the air.
New, modern and elegant: Hotel Sestante impressed us especially with its central location in the heart of Porto Rotondo. Just a few steps from the marina and the charming shopping streets, it's an ideal base for exploring beaches like Spiaggia Ira. The spacious, spotlessly clean rooms, the lovely pool in the garden and the friendly staff rounded off the experience.
This time, Portugal led us to the spectacular island of Madeira, where we found a hotel well worth recommending, a perfect blend of modern elegance and breathtaking views.
Set in the lively heart of Funchal, The Views Baía won us over with its modern design, its central location in the Lido district, and a sense of calm you'd hardly expect to find in the city. The friendly service and the excellent option to play padel made the stay especially enjoyable for us.
