Where We Stayed in Hahei

Hahei Beach Resort

Right on the beautiful beach of Hahei, perfect for anyone who wants to wake up to a sea view. Cathedral Cove is easy to reach from here, either on foot via the trail or by kayak tour right from the beach. Small cafés and a local shop also within easy walking distance. From around 60 to 75 NZD per night for a site and 2 people, depending on season.

Positive: dreamy location right on the beach, easy access to Cathedral Cove, low-maintenance sites, some with a sea view, well-equipped shared kitchen with covered seating areas, modern, clean sanitary facilities, washers and dryers, a small shop and café on site, BBQ stations and a playground. Negative: on the pricier side, can get a bit crowded in peak season.

Verdict: A popular, well-equipped campground in a top location, a bit more expensive, but definitely worth the money thanks to the great location and excellent facilities.
